The purpose of this course is to recognise the meaning and importance of innovation – not only for the success of a business, but for our economies and future generations. Participants will consider the typologies of innovation, explore the innovation frameworks of some leading authorities on the subject and look at the challenges and risks. This course is suited for participants wanting to take their businesses to the next level or aspiring entrepreneurs.

  • Compare and contrast innovation with research and development
  • Critically evaluate the innovative approaches used in product and service developments
  • Assess the value of integrating issues related to ethics and corporate social investment within innovation
  • Demonstrate the importance of management information systems in innovation
  • A Certificate of Competence will be awarded to all students who successfully submit and pass their assignments, and exams*
